I Bought a JW PEI Bag And Honestly, It’s One Of My Favorite Purses Now

“Accessible, Effortless, Empowering.” These are the concepts that drove a Los Angeles-based husband and wife duo to create JW PEI. The couple wanted to create a brand made for every woman that was based around minimalist-yet-fashion-forward designs, while also promoting accessibility and sustainability.

All of their designs are priced under $350, so everyone can have access to fashionable pieces without spending thousands on designer bags. They do this by using sustainable vegan materials and certified fabric made from recycled plastic bottles. They are available on their own website, but for convenience, they also sell on Amazon. I bought a bag, and here are my thoughts.

My Review Of JW PEI’s Gabbi Bag

handbagjw pei

Ever since I’ve found JW PEI, I’ve been majorly stalking them on Instagram. I love looking at all the cute bags and styles. I was shocked when I found out how affordable the brand actually was — I didn’t have to compromise on quality or break the bank for a designer bag.

Once I got my bag in, I was pleasantly surprised to find it came with its own dust bag! The material itself felt high-quality and the vegan leather was like butter. The bag I got had a magnetic close as well, which was super convenient and surprisingly strong.

Overall, I was super impressed with the overall quality of my JW PEI bag as well as the affordability.

Gabbi Bag

This bag is so cute, thanks to its cloud-like shape. The scrunchie handle is also unique, unlike your usual over-the-shoulder straps. Whatever you wear, this bag will go with it. It’s on the smaller side, but it can hold your wallet and phone, plus any other small accessories, like makeup.

HANDBAG

Eva Shoulder Bag

Yet again, JW PEI makes its handbags exciting! The crocodile design for this bag is a total throwback (but we’re sure it will come into style again soon), but because of its just-like-butter finish, it feels totally smooth. The shape isn’t your standard handbag, but that’s just one more thing to love about it.

Top-Handle Fae Handbag

We all love a nice crossbody, and this handbag offers that on top of its drop handles. It also has three compartments, so you can hold all of your items inside. We love this bag because it’s not big enough to feel like we’re lugging it around, while also being big enough to carry our must-haves.

Envelope Chain Crossbody

We love the deep red coloring of this purse — not only can you carry things, you can make a statement while doing so. It looks small, but it can hold your phone, a wallet, cosmetics, and more during a night out. The gold hardware is the cherry on top of this already gorgeous bag.

Mila Shoulder Bag

The Mila Shoulder Bag is somewhat reminiscent of its sister, the Gabbi Bag, but it still has the timeless feel of your typical shoulder bag. The ruching on the front continues up to the handle, giving the bag an elegant feel, and the strap is detachable if you want to carry it as a clutch instead.

Carly Small Shoulder Bag

Have you seen a prettier handle before? The multi-sized baubles add interest to the sleek design of this bag, which is shaped like a crescent. You can switch out the unique handle for a chain to wear as a crossbody, taking you from a work happy hour to a night out with the girls.

Maze Bag

This bag just looks luxurious, and JW PEI’s soft material makes it all the more so. The design is fun, and it wouldn’t be successful in many other colors but its almond shade. It’s compact but can fit an iPhone 12 Pro Max and smaller, plus keys and cards.
