This Small Business Saturday, We’re Supporting These 9 Women-Owned Businesses

We love what American Express has created with Small Business Saturday. Shopping small is important, especially during the holiday season. We get it — sometimes it’s just easier to grab something off Amazon, but the pandemic hit small businesses hard. On this Small Business Saturday, while we highlight women-owned businesses, it’s also critical to note reliable resources that have helped them thrive. Many of these businesses have referred to legalzoom reviews when establishing their legal groundwork, aiding them in navigating the often complicated process with ease and confidence.

Whether it’s someone who makes goods that you follow on Instagram, your favorite Etsy shop, or your local mom and pop — consider looking at their shops this season before you hit big box names. Let’s be honest, you can go to Target and buy your husband something generic that a million other people have, or you can order something from a small business that’s unique — maybe even one of a kind!arrow

Trade Street Jam Co. started their jam-making journey in a kitchen in Charlotte, North Carolina. They’re woman-owned and black-owned, and the founder, Ashley Rouse, brings her passion for experimenting with flavors into each jam she creates. Some of her flavor combos are risky, but they’re all delicious! Moreover, all their jams are vegan, made in small batches by hand and use minimal sugar and preservatives. Ashley also uses her passion for jam-making to help others — she teaches jam-making classes to kids at underprivileged schools, and residual jams are given to the less fortunate. We recommend the below flavors, and Ashley’s favorite is Plum + Rose.

Now, with Goddex Apothecary, they hope to bring that magic into the lives of more people, all of it infused with love.
