During Covid, weekly salon visits to maintain your gel manicure were not an option. We begrudgingly adapted and pampered ourselves — whether that meant dyeing our hair or giving ourselves a mani/pedi.
The upside of this was that we got to tap into our creative sides! And my creative side wanted to attempt to do gel nails at home. There was a lot of trial and error, but I’ve found some kits that are easy to use — and look almost as good as a professional set.
Will I ever go back to the nail salon? Probably, but in the meantime, I’ve ditched the salon and learned how to get salon-quality gel nails at home!
