I own 43 different eyebrow products.

Yes, I counted. Do you think that’s 40 more than someone needs? Then you are talking from a place of privilege. Good brow privilege, that is. Yes, it exists and I, absolutely, did not make it up. Got great, thick brows? You are privileged and will never know the struggles of those cursed with sparse, thin eyebrows.

Before you ask, no, I did not fall victim to the great over-plucking trend of the 90s (thanks, Drew Barrymore). Maybe I would have if I’d had big, bushy ones. Sadly, mine have always been thin. Not that thin, mind you, but sparse enough that when the big brow explosion hit, I could not participate in the trend. But I’ve tried! Enter the 43 products mentioned above.

Some of them have helped — my favorite so far is the Kosas Air Brow Tinted Clean Volumizing Eyebrow Gel. It promises “Effortless, fluffy, face-framing brows with just the right amount of volume from biodegradable, plant-based fibers, high-pigment yet natural tint, and strong yet flexible hold.”

And it delivers, as my brows definitely appear fuller and they stay in place. The tinted gel is the key here, at least for me.
