Valentino is the latest player in the luxe beauty world after launching their new line, Valentino Beauty. Valentino has long been known for their models’ striking and iconic runway beauty looks, so it’s no surprise that they’ve started their own beauty brand. Valentino Beauty was announced May 31st and released shortly after, and there are countless reasons to love it.

Many of the products are refillable, meaning that if you fall in love with one, you can buy a refill of it (you can even refill your product with a different shade!), rather than throwing away empty lipstick tubes and foundation bottles. On top of this, their gifts come in reusable tote bags. It’s another beauty brand taking sustainability seriously, which we love to see.
Most importantly, Valentino Beauty celebrates diversity, encouraging its wearers to be themselves and embrace their individuality. Explains Pierpaolo Piccioli, Valentino Creative Director, “We moved from an aesthetic built on exclusivity to an inclusive one.”
And Valentino Beauty’s Global Make-Up Artist, Raoul Alejandre, echoes this statement of unconventionality. Discussing breaking boundaries, accentuating individuality and revelling in the joys of makeup, Alejandre says “I want to see people breaking the [beauty] rules, experimenting with their make-up and having fun.”

Do not skip on this product. This liner is by far the most versatile one out there. I bought the black and brown combo, which makes it super easy to go from a subtle daytime look to a fierce nighttime look. The gel liner twists up which I absolutely love — one twist and you’re ready to go! The liquid liner side is so fine that you can really make your wing sharp. The formula is also amazing — it stays on all day and doesn’t patch up when you are trying to build the perfect eye. I ordered two of these, both in the satin finish and they are the perfect size to keep in your purse and use on the go. The lipstick itself is creamy but goes on a little sheer. When you build it up it feels weightless and just like a lip balm. This product does seem to have some transfer but it being a lipstick, that is to be expected. This one also seems to have a slight fragrance to it, so again, if you have sensitive skin, be cautious and do a patch test!
