Let’s be honest — the internet is obsessed with a new beauty or skincare trend about once a week. I never know how people are doing their makeup or what’s in or out in the beauty scene.
Because of the ever-changing styles in makeup and skincare, I never want to invest too deeply into what the internet is going crazy over – that is, until The Ordinary came along.
If you’ve never heard of The Ordinary, allow me to change your life. I started using their products about two years ago when I was experiencing adult acne for the first time in my life and needed skincare products that were simple, affordable, and did the job. The Ordinary quickly became my lifeline.

The Ordinary just recently launched a Multi-Peptide Lash and Brow Serum that the internet is going crazy over. We all want thicker and fuller lashes and brows and, if you’re like me, you’ve tried a number of DIY ways to make that a possibility at home. I remember taking a mascara wand, dipping it into a huge tub of Vaseline, and running it through my lashes and brows before I went to bed. I would not suggest doing that unless you want a sticky, gooey mess on your face all night.
But this new serum is nothing like my tub of Vaseline (thank goodness). It’s light and you don’t even feel it two minutes after you put it on. Just like everything on The Ordinary’s website, the serum is packed with wonderful ingredients at an incredibly reasonable price.
The Ordinary’s new lash serum boasts a light, non-greasy formula that is solely designed to give you luscious lashes and brows. It contains 11 active ingredients, including four peptide complexes and a number of natural extracts. All you have to do is apply the serum twice a day to your lashes and brows after you do your regular skincare and you’ll see a difference in as little as four weeks. Sign me up!
Putting on the lash serum has quickly become one of my favorite parts of the day. I plucked my eyebrows the first day I got it, and they’ve grown back in the week I’ve been using it. I will say, if you’re like me and your eyebrows are a bit patchy, this serum won’t make new hair grow, but it will enhance and grow the hair that’s already there.
All you have to do is apply the serum to your eyebrows and your lashes in the morning and the evening. If you’re putting on makeup right after you do your skincare, wait 10-15 minutes before doing your brows and lashes, just so it doesn’t rub off immediately.
The first few times had a strange feeling, as I was literally putting liquid right next to my eyeballs, but it quickly became easy.
My eyebrows are thicker and fuller than I think they’ve ever been. Like I said, I plucked them the day I got the serum and the hairs I plucked grew back in less than four days. I’m not sure if that’s fantastic, but it does prove that the serum grows them! I’ve also noticed that my eyelashes are longer and the bottom ones look a bit fuller, but I’ve also been hyperfocused on my face for a while now and I could be imagining it.
That being said, I’m going to keep using the serum for the next month to see if anything else changes. The directions say it takes about two weeks to really get results, so I’m still hopeful.
