These 6 Practices Will Give You Your Best Self-Care Sunday Ever

Self-care Sunday is a day where you take time for yourself to do what makes you happy. It’s important to remember that self-care doesn’t have to be extravagant or expensive; it can be as simple as taking a walk in the park or buying your favorite coffee from your local café.

Activities like these will make you feel refreshed and ready to start the week ahead! This article will talk about the habits we recommend incorporating into your self-care Sunday.

1. Take a Long Bath

Self-care Sunday is a time to put yourself first and do what you need for your mental, emotional and physical health. One of the best things you can do for yourself on self-care Sunday is taking a long bath. First, start your bath with a light, unscented soap. Then, fill the tub with warm water and allow yourself time to unwind by reading a book while you soak in bubbles!

2. Apply a Hair Treatment

Next, you can shampoo and condition your hair to remove excess oil, dirt or product buildup. If you don’t have time to deep condition, use your favorite leave-in product and apply it generously from mid-shaft down and let it sit for a few minutes. Meanwhile, you can make yourself a snack, like our fav air fryer drumsticks recipe.

You can also use peppermint oil afterwards to rejuvenate your scalp. It’s worth every bit of effort because healthy hair is happy hair, after all.

3. Do a Face Mask

Using a face mask regularly is a great habit that can do wonders for your skin! People with dry skin will find that using face masks and moisturizers reduces the appearance of fine lines. Face masks also help mitigate acne, making you feel healthier overall!

Face masks are an easy way to take care of yourself when you don’t have time for anything else; they’re a low-effort way to look better while still being lazy in bed or watching Netflix all day Sunday.

4. Light a Scented Candle

There’s nothing better than lighting one on a long winter night when the whole house smells like cinnamon buns or fresh linen. Candles are relaxing and calming, and they often have aromatic therapeutic properties.

Creating ambience can make leisurely activities such as reading, watching movies much more enjoyable. You can do it while in bed, at the end of an exhausting day, or around the kitchen table with family after dinner. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never had scented candles: try out different scents until you find one (or more) that works for you!

5. Give Yourself an At-Home Manicure

Use nail polish to paint your nails with a color you love, and consider layering shades of the same color for a more polished look.

Other popular at-home manicure products include callus removers, cuticle balms, artificial tips (artificial acrylic nails), fake tattoos, and foot soak salts. Be creative – anything can work as long as you’re taking care of yourself.

6. Exfoliate Your Body

After a long week, it’s essential to make time for self-care. First, take a few minutes to exfoliate your skin with something like a homemade sugar scrub, and then take a nice warm shower. It’s a great way to wind down and relax while also brightening your skin.
