Theo Nestor’s memoir is a gripping chronicle of her life post-divorce. Not only did she deal with the pain divorce brings, but she had suddenly become a single mother without a job. Divorce wasn’t foreign to her, though, which we learn as she chronicles her family’s history and her life growing up. For a powerful, relatable read, this is a book you can’t miss!
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
by Taylor Jenkins Reid
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is a novel chronicling the life of Evelyn Hugo, fictional movie star, through the eyes of writer Monique, whom Evelyn has chosen to write her biography. Monique herself is dealing with divorce, and soon finds out that her life intersects with Evelyn’s in more ways than one.
Split: A Memoir of Divorce
by Suzanne Finnamore
This memoir follows Suzanne Finnamore’s heartbreakingly unexpected divorce. It’s “funny, sad, and unflinchingly fierce,” and is sure to be relatable to anyone who has also gone through the end of a relationship.

Marriage Story
If you haven’t seen this movie starring Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson yet, it’s time. And if you’ve already seen it, go watch it again. Marriage Story is the poignant story of the divorce of a stage director (Driver) and actor (Johansson) who go through all the emotional highs and lows of divorce, and get pushed to their creative limits along the way.

Grace and Frankie
If you’re in need of a lighter take on divorce, Grace and Frankie are here to walk you through it. This hit Netflix original starts off with a bang, as Grace and Frankie’s husbands both announce they’re leaving their wives to marry each other. Grace and Frankie move in together to help each other cope, and what ensues is hilarious and heartwarming.

Samantha’s podcast is another lighthearted take on divorce, as she interviews divorcees about how they’ve managed divorce. We love this podcast because it managed to be humorous while remaining poignant and heart-tugging.

This podcast hosted by Kate Anthony talks about everything dealing with divorce, from co-parenting to rebuilding your community post-divorce.
All’s Fair With Laura Wasser
All’s Fair with Laura Wasser (formerly known as Divorce Sucks!) is a podcast hosted by celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser as she talks with “opinionated men and women, innovative thought leaders and celebrities about breaking up, getting divorced and moving on.” They say that breaking up sucks — but it doesn’t have to be that way!
