Ketchup Chips Are My New Favorite Homemade Snack, And Here’s How To Make Them

If you haven’t heard of ketchup chips yet, you’re about to! This trending snack is taking over the internet because it’s crazy tasty and so easy to make at home. And no, ketchup isn’t in the actual recipe — but these chips taste amazing dipped in ketchup! The only thing you’ll need that you may not already have is a mandoline (crucial to get those thinly sliced potatoes!) — you can buy one on Amazon here!

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. light brown sugar

  • 2 tsp. paprika

  • 1 tsp. kosher salt

  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder

  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

  • 2 medium russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced on a mandoline

  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil


Directions

Preheat oven to 400°F. Whisk together brown sugar, paprika, salt, onion powder, and garlic powder in a small bowl; set aside. Add apple cider vinegar to a small spray bottle; set aside.

Toss together sliced potatoes and olive oil in a large bowl to coat. Arrange potatoes in a single layer on 2 rimmed baking sheets. Bake in preheated oven until golden brown and crispy, about 30 minutes, turning pans twice during baking.

Remove from oven, and spritz potato chips with a light spray of apple cider vinegar. Transfer chips to a large bowl; sprinkle with brown sugar mixture, and gently toss to coat.

Plate up, grab some ketchup, and enjoy!
