After seeing a ton of TikTok fridge organization videos, I was inspired to organize my own refrigerator. Your food pantries can really become out of sight, out of mind, when you haven’t given them much thought. Through days of the kids rustling through to find snacks, or after that initial unload after grocery shopping, it can be an easy issue to ignore. These fridge organization products are what helped me cut down on the clutter!
Fridge Organization Hacks

1. Pick out your organization items

There are a few things you’ll want to take into account when picking out your organization products. First, you’re going to need to measure your shelves to make sure you pick out organizers that fit! Personally, I like organizers with handles that can slide in and out of the fridge for easy accessibility. Other storage items you might want include soda can organizers, storage trays and egg holders.
2. Group like items together

Storing like items together is practical because you can see all of your options at once and nothing gets forgotten, and it’s also highly satisfying. You could go a step further and take the produce items out of the bags, but I prefer to keep them packaged until use. Knowing where everything goes and having a strict organizational style can help keep everyone in your family accountable — no more shoving things wherever they fit in the fridge!
3. Clean out old items on the regular

The last tip for optimal fridge organization is to frequently go through everything and check expiration dates. Since we grocery shop on Mondays in our home, that morning is when I clean out our fridges and make room for new stuff plus it helps me build a more organized list of what we need. I check all expiration dates and move older items to the front and put newer items behind so things get used before they expire. Consider donating things that you know you will not eat, rather than letting them take up space. Keeping a tight system will ensure that your fridge is always looking Pinterest-worthy!
