Mug cakes are exactly what they sound like — they’re a miniature cake in a mug.
You can buy package mug cakes in most stores that boast all you have to do is “just add water” — but we’re a little more advanced today. We’re going to share 10 mug cake recipes that will leave your sweet tooth satisfied in a matter of minutes!
Healthy 1 Minute Apple Cinnamon Muffin

Ingredients

1 Tbsp of coconut flour

1 Tbsp of almond flour

1 Tbsp of oat flour (omit for the paleo version)

2 Tbsp of granulated sweetener of choice

½ tsp of baking powder

A pinch of cinnamon

1 large egg white (or sub with 1 flax egg)
-
2 Tbsp of unsweetened applesauce
-
1 Tbsp of dairy free milk of choice
-
Cinnamon and coconut palm sugar for dusting
Directions
1. In a small mixing bowl combine the flours, sweetener, cinnamon, and baking powder. Mix well.
2. Add in the egg white or flax egg, unsweetened applesauce, and dairy free milk. Mix completely.
3. Put in a mug and microwave for 50 seconds or up to 2 minutes. Sprinkle it with cinnamon and coconut palm sugar. Enjoy immediately.
Healthy Cinnamon Roll Mug Cakes

Cake:

1 Tbsp of unsalted butter (melted)

1 large egg

3 Tbsp of superfine almond flour

½ tsp of baking powder
-
1 Tbsp of coconut sugar or whatever granulated sugar you’d like

½ tsp of vanilla extract
-
½ tsp of cinnamon
Cinnamon Sugar Topping:
-
⅛ tsp of ground cinnamon
-
2 tsp of coconut sugar
-
A small pinch of salt
Cream Cheese Frosting:
-
1 tsp of unsalted butter (softened)
-
½ Tbsp of cream cheese (room temperature)
-
¼ tsp of honey or maple syrup
Directions
1. Add all the cake ingredients into a microwave safe mug. Whisk until combined.
2. Mix together the cinnamon sugar ingredients and sprinkle half of it over the cake.
3. Cook in the microwave for about 1 minute and 15 seconds-1 minute and 30 seconds.
4. While the cake is cooling a bit, add the room temperature butter and cream cheese to a small bowl and mix together until they are smooth. Stir in the honey. Place the frosting in a piping bag and pipe a swirl over the cake.
5. Serve warm!

Directions
1. In a mug, soften 1 tablespoon of butter in the microwave for about 5 seconds. Stir in 2 tablespoons of sugar and mix well. Stir in the applesauce, vanilla, flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir until just combined.
2. In a separate small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of butter, 2 tablespoons of flour, 1 teaspoon of brown sugar, and ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon. Use your fingers to pinch the butter and mix it with the other ingredients. When it starts to look like lumpy sand, pour the mixture on top of the cake batter in the mug.
3. Cook in the microwave for 50-80 seconds. It should look just barely set on top.

3. Pour in the melted butter, milk, and vanilla. Stir until it’s all batter and no powder is left.
4. Gently fold in fresh blueberries.
5. Microwave for 2 minutes.

1. In a small bowl whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt together.

4. Pour the batter into a 10-ounce coffee mug.
5. Microwave on high for 90 seconds. If the cake doesn’t set from that, microwave in 10-second intervals.

1. In a microwave safe mug, add all the ingredients except the chocolate. Use a small whisk to mix vigorously until the batter is smooth.
2. Stir 1 tablespoon of chocolate chips into the cake batter. Add another 1 tablespoon in the center and middle of the batter. Sprinkle the remaining 1 tablespoon on top.
