These Homemade Tea Recipes Made My Teatime Fit For A Queen

What’s the tea? I love tea. I wish I could say I only drink tea because I know how healthy it is, but I do cheat on it sometimes with coffee (don’t tell!). Tea has so many health benefits, plus it tastes amazing. But going to the store every week for some new flavors isn’t always too fun, so we’ve made a list of a few tea recipes that will leave you mad as a hatter and fit to be a queen!

Slow-Cooker Chai Tea

Ingredients

  • 15 slices of fresh ginger root (3 oz)

  • 3 cinnamon sticks (3 inches each)

  • 15 cardamom pods, lightly crushed

  • 3 peppercorns

  • 3 ½ quarts of water

  • 8 black tea bags

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

Directions

  1. Place the ginger root, cinnamon sticks, cloves, cardamom pods, and peppercorns on a double thickness of cheesecloth. Gather the ingredients up and tie with a string. Place the spices and water in a 5-6 qt slow cooker. Cook on low for 8 hours.

  2. Add tea bags and stir every 3-5 minutes according to the taste.

  3. Stir in milk.


Ginger Tea

Ingredients

  • ½-1 inch of fresh ginger

  • A teaspoon of honey

  • A few peppercorns

Directions

  1. Peel, wash and slice ginger into thin slices.

  2. Then add it to a small saucepan together with 1 ½ cup of water and a few peppercorns.

  3. Bring it to a boil and let it simmer for another 10-15 minutes.

  4. Strain, add honey and drink.


Mint and Lavender for 2

  1. Bring water to a boil and let it cool for a few minutes. Oversteeped lavender tea may become bitter.

  2. You can easily fix this by adding a spoon of honey.

  3. Once brewed, you can cool it down and serve with honey and ice as iced tea.


Cinnamon and Apple

  • 1 spoon of dried apple pieces

  • ½ spoon of crushed cinnamon bark

Directions

  1. Steep for 15 minutes and strain.
