The Best Body Exfoliators Every Skin Type Can Indulge In

Featured Image Source

Want skin that’s smoother than a baby’s bottom? Yeah, we do, too. Baby-soft skin is hard to come by, especially in the winter. Our favorite trick? Body scrubs!

The right body scrub leaves your skin soft, glowy, nourished, and moisturized while offering a gentle cleansing. What’s more, using a scrub is the Taco Tuesday of skin care – which is to say that it’s a delicious experience you’ll want to repeat again and again.

There are a bajillion scrubs on the market, so how do you choose the right one? Especially since all scrubs have similar ingredients: a hydrator, a cleanser, and an abrasive ingredient to slough skin.

What To Look For In The Best Body Exfoliating Scrub

  • If you have dry skin, you’ll want to look for one with a powerful moisturizing agent, like essential oils or a cream base.

  • If you want to exfoliate frequently or have sensitive skin, pick a body scrub with smaller granules. Or you can use large granules to get more intense exfoliation.

  • If you have oily skin, look for scrubs with natural ingredients like oatmeal or lemon.

  • For your face or other acne-prone areas, use a scrub with an active acne-fighting ingredient, like salicylic acid.

  • If your skin is particularly sensitive, look for a gentle, sugar-based exfoliator.

Now that you’re armed with knowledge, check out our favorite body scrubs below!

Joon x Moon Whipped Sugar Scrub

I have the Joon x Moon champagne exfoliating cubes and LOVE them. They’re the perfect exfoliant to take on vacay as they don’t count toward your TSA toiletries allotment. I had no idea about the whipped sugar scrub, which uses many of the same ingredients as the cubes. Bonus points for the ultra gorgeous, icing-like product.
