I am very Irish. Like, extremely — shout out to Ancestry for the info. Because of that, I burn like no other the second my skin meets the sun. Tanning? I don’t know her. Suffice to say, I’m reliant on tanning lotions and sprays during the summer to look like the tanned goddess I am on the inside.

I reviewed this self-tanner for our Ulta article (check it out HERE). I loved how you can build up your glow gradually, rather than going straight to the dark side. My biggest tip: use a mitt of some sort rather than your hands…unless you like dyeing your hands an uneven, way-too-dark color.

In one hour, you’ll have the glow of your dreams — doesn’t get much better or more efficient than that! This Aussie product doesn’t reek of your typical indoor-tanning-lotion-smell, so no one will smell that fake tan. And it’s eco-friendly; rather than throw out the bottle, just purchase a refill.
Healthy Glow Sunless Tan Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 40
Give this tanning lotion two to four hours, and you’ll achieve the glow of your dreams — no orange included. It’s also packed with SPF, so you can still go out in the sun. If you’re just looking for something simple to put on while also protecting your skin, this tanner is for you.
Fabulous Self-Tanning Gradual Lotion
Self-tanners don’t have to mean there’s no hydration, and this one in particular is proof. It’ll give you the tan you’re looking for while also locking in moisture, so you don’t have to sacrifice skin health for that bronze-goddess finish.
Glow Away Bronzing Coconut Body Stick
Smooth out your skin, blur imperfections, and stop worrying about awkward spray-tan lines with this body stick. The coconut provides nutrients that are healthy for your skin, while simultaneously building up a gorgeous tan stroke by stroke.
Tan Towel Self Tan Towelette
I cannot wait to try these towelettes out. Mitts are annoying, and I’m always scared that I’ll dye my hands (see: aforementioned review of the 2 HR Express self-tanner). These towelettes just make “tanning” easier. Wipe on the towelettes’ clear formula, and it will interact with your skin’s proteins and amino acids to give you a natural glow unique to your skin tone.
Self Tanning Drops
These drops blew up on TikTok, and for good reason. Unlike the previous toners, these are described as “color-correcting self-tan drops.” Mix them in with your daily moisturizer for a tan unique to you. Amazon currently has Beautify Beauties Continuous Water Mister — load it up with the droplets and liquid moisturizer and spray until your heart’s content.
