By now, you’ve probably heard about the latest skincare product that is shaking the beauty world. Dubbed ‘botox in a bottle,’ it’s no surprise people instantly rushed to try it.
The Ordinary is behind this miracle product, and it’s not the first time their skincare has gone viral. I think we all remember their AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution that everyone wanted to get their hands on a few months ago. Their latest viral product? The Argireline Solution 10%,aka “botox in a bottle,” which claims to “improve the look of skin in areas prone to dynamic folds.”
If you are not familiar with argireline, don’t worry…neither was I. Turns out argeline is a peptide that prevents the formation of skin lines and wrinkles in a very similar way to the botulinum toxin (botox). Unlike botox, argireline does not require under-skin muscle injections, and it is believed to be relatively safe.
I mean, the idea of getting results similar to botox without the needles? Say no more — I jumped at the chance to test it out.
My Review
Argireline Solution 10% – $7.90
I have some fine lines on my forehead as well as under my eyes. I’ve gotten tear trough fillers in the past to help with my under eyes but never botox. Most of my friends have and I’ve watched them get it — to be honest, it scares me. I don’t do well with needles so I’ve always contemplated if it’s worth it. Seeing this product and its results all over TikTok and social media, I was sold. No needles — just argireline.
The directions on the packaging say, “Apply a few drops on the forehead and around the eyes twice daily before heavier treatments.” So I added this into my morning and nighttime skin routines. It was pretty simple and straightforward. My first impression was great — it had no fragrance, which sometimes can irritate my skin, and was a thin, almost water-like consistency which I liked because it didn’t make my skin feel heavy. The first few days I didn’t really see a difference, but to be honest I didn’t expect to. In order for me to really see a difference with my skin when using a new product I have to use it for about 2 weeks.
The lines I have on my forehead are fine and not as deep as the ones I have under my eyes — this is where I noticed results the most. The argireline seriously diminished my forehead lines. My under eyes have gotten better but not as noticeable as my forehead. It took me about 16 days to see the results I wanted, but I’m hopeful with consistency that I’ll see the full results I want.
I would definitely recommend this product to others, not only because I saw real results but simply because its an affordable and safe option if you are wary about trying botox. The Argireline Solution 10% runs for $7.90 – yeah, you read that right. Under $10 for “botox in a bottle” — why wouldn’t you try it?
