Workin Moms follows the lives of four women who just so happen to be in the same mommy-and-me parenting group. The series follows these women as they navigate life as moms, professionals, and human beings in general…and we can’t help but admire their clothes. Kate Foster is the main protagonist of the show and its HBIC (Head Bitch In Charge). She’s a PR executive at the firm Gaze, working her way up the chain, until…well, I won’t spoil that for you. She’s dedicated to her job and being as successful as possible — even when that means taking matters into her own hands (when she probably shouldn’t) — while still trying to be a supportive, present mom with help from her partner. Anne Carlson is a practicing psychiatrist, and her wardrobe screams “I’m a professional!” She’s loved by her second husband and dedicated to being a good mom, but she runs into trouble when confronted with past demons. Throughout the series, she’s trying to stay above water, and so far, she’s succeeding. She’s also succeeding in her fashion game — just take this all-white ensemble as an example. Frankie’s personal life is in flux, with plenty of changes happening all at once. She was previously married to Giselle, with whom she had her daughter, Rhoda. She now has baby Solomon in the house, and she’s become friendly with her former neighbor Bianca, who is working with a sperm donor to become pregnant on her own. In the first season, she struggled with postpartum depression, but in season two, she’s able to emotionally support Bianca and run a successful real estate business — all while being a mom. Frankie includes pops of colors into her standard work outfits while choosing unique pieces (like striped blazers) to create her own sense of style.

Jenny Matthews isn’t completely sure about her role as a mom, questioning her feelings toward her child and motherhood in general. Occasionally appearing in season two, she runs from responsibility in her time on-screen. In season three, she’s given options to pull her life together, which she does — by manipulating.
