AllTrails

AllTrails gives you access to 100,000+ hiking, running, and biking trails. The app offers detailed trail maps, user submitted photos and reviews, custom profiles, and a sense of community for people who live active lifestyles and love the outdoors. There is an upgraded membership on the app, Pro, which requires annual payment. From my personal experience, the free version of the app works perfectly fine for all my needs. I love searching through hiking trails nearby and saving them for future adventures!

Nextdoor

Using your phone’s location services, Nextdoor connects you with your neighbors virtually. In the app you can exchange helpful information, goods, and services. Depending on the area you live in, the news and information will vary. From  my own experience, it’s a lot of lost animal posts, Ring camera footage, and some drama that can be quite entertaining. You never know when an app like this will come in handy, so it’s good to keep it somewhere in your phone just in case.

Asana

Asana is a project management tool that allows you to keep your tasks and to-do lists in one place. It’s perfect for professional or personal use. In a professional setting, you can plan and manage all your team’s work from start to finish. I use Asana everyday for work, and I also add a lot of my personal tasks in there as well. It has been very efficient and organized having all my tasks, work or personal, all in one place on my phone.

Venmo

Are there people who don’t use Venmo? My 73 year old grandma literally loves Venmo. The app allows you to send and receive payments from your friends instantly. You can easily split the bill, uber fare, rent, anything really. A cool feature of the app is that you can request money from people, and send them reminders when too much time has passed. Overall, it’s a safe way to exchange money virtually and it comes in handy more often than you may think!

Preview is an Instagram feed planner. The app allows you to time your  posts perfectly, analyze their performance, and see how posts will look on your feed before actually posting. In-app editing tools are offered to help you create content for the perfect Instagram grid.

Pillow

Pillow turns your phone into a sleep tracker. It keeps you accountable for how much you sleep. Simply open the  app before you go to sleep, set a time you’d like to wake up, and hit the start button. It can be insightful and interesting to learn about your sleep patterns over time. This app is also available to all my Apple Watch users, all you have to do is wear your watch while you sleep.

FitOn

Lose weight, sweat, and get fit anytime with free home exercise videos and personalized fitness plans. FitOn offers quick and effective workouts from celebrity trainers that you can do anywhere. The best part is that no equipment is required. You can stream the workout videos to your laptop, tablet, phone, or TV.

Yelp

It amazes me that some people do not rely on Yelp for their every move! As an anxious person, I need to have some sense of where I’m going if it’s someplace new. I know, that’s no fun, but that’s just me. Yelp has over 199 million business and restaurant reviews worldwide. You can gain local knowledge on where to eat, drink, and shop. Easily find places nearby via your phone’s location services. Read reviews or add some yourself!

Credit Karma

I’m super thankful that my parents taught me about credit at a fairly young age. A lot of my peers also in their early 20’s have no clue of their credit score or dont have credit built up at all. Credit Karma is free to download and use. You can check your credit scores with no penalty or points deducted. It also assists with keeping your lines of credit on track and organized, helps spot identity theft, and curates personalized loans and credit card recommendations.
