foreo skin cleaning brush

Foreo Skin Cleaning Brush

I tried all the skin cleansing brushes when they first came on the market and the bristles were way too harsh for my thin, sensitive skin. But I longed for that “deep clean” feeling that a microfiber cloth or makeup wipe just doesn’t give. I’m so happy with my Foreo — it takes all the gunk, makeup, and product off my face gently and it’s so cute on my vanity.

too faced

Lip Injection Lip Plumper

So many of the lip plumpers just do nothing for me other than giving my lips a slight tingle which is actually annoying. The Lip Injection line from Too Faced makes a visible difference in my pout. I also feel as a middle-aged lady that it softens the edges of my lips where over time, we all get lines.

beauty bio microneedle

Beauty Bio Glow Pro

Ok, I KNOW this is pricey but this microneedling tool is such a wonder and has let me spread out my dermatology appointments to less than half as often as before. What started as me looking for an at-home solution due to COVID has turned into a game-changer for me. This is the face tool, but I also have the one for lips, the one for eyes and even the body tool! The only thing missing from my collection is the new scalp tool which is on my list. You WILL see results with this — it combines microneedling with red light therapy and more.

Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Longwear Foundation Stick SPF 21

I had been eyeing this product for some time before I finally made the purchase and I’m so glad I did! I love this foundation stick because it’s the perfect size/amount and it’s super lightweight! The finish is also really natural and borderline satin-y by the end of the day. Staying power is great, no excessive caking or creasing. This is my favorite foundation right now! If you enjoy light to medium coverage foundations, I highly recommend giving this foundation a go.

Youth To The People Adaptogen Soothe + Hydrate Activated Mist with Peptides

This facial mist smells so natural and amazing! I spray it all over my face before bed and it leaves my skin feeling really supple the next morning. It also brings out the slightest natural glow and my face looks brighter as well. My cheeks tend to get kind of dry during the winter and I’ve found that this mist is one of the best beauty products to help with hydration. It shouldn’t replace your moisturizer but it’s a great addition to your routine.

marc jacobs eye-conic

Marc Jacobs Beauty Eye-Conic Multi-Finish Eyeshadow Palette

I was attracted to this product because of its sleek design packaging and was pleasantly surprised by the color payoff and blendability of each shadow. I purchased this palette in Scandalust because I like warmer tones on my eyes and I’ve found that the palette works really well for soft and heavy glam. The glitter shadows are super smooth and the matte ones are great as well.

wet n wild

Wet ‘n’ Wild Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick

I’m obsessed with this stuff and I’ve easily gone through three tubes of it. And I don’t wear lipstick every day, so that’s saying a lot. My favorite color is Rebel Rose. It’s crazy easy to apply and has fabulous staying power. When it does come off (after hours of wear and eating and drinking and everything) it all just fades off evenly. No flaking off, no drying, no hassle and no mess. Plus it’s literally five dollars. Doesn’t have the biggest color selection but if you can find one that you like you’ll be using it for ages.

nyx setting spray

NYX Matte Finish Makeup Setting Spray

Another amazing drugstore pick! This setting spray will keep your makeup in place for ages. Seriously. And it’s cheap. I’ve been using it for years, but don’t take my word for it — my friends who work at Disney World in Orlando swear by it. They’re performers who work outside all day in a full face of makeup and crazy high heat, and they sweat. And this is what they use to keep their makeup from sweating off with them. ‘Nuff said.

vitamin c serum

ELBBUB Vitamin C Facial Serum

I, like many of us, decide to rock an au naturel face during quarantine. And the more I got acquainted with my natural skin, the more I noticed that it was just kind of dull. So I added this Vitamin C and retinol serum into my skin routine and man oh man has it made a difference! My bare skin literally glows now, and this has definitely become one of the best beauty products on my counter.

mac foundation

MAC Studio Waterweight SPF 30 Foundation

I’ve always been a MAC girl, and their foundation is my absolute favorite. This foundation glides on easily, matches my skin tone — something that I’ve struggled with when working with other brands — and doesn’t look cake-y or feel heavy. 10/10, would recommend as one of the best beauty products on my vanity. Plus, a little goes a long way, so it lasts forever.

L’Oreal Infallible Matte-Matic Eyeliner

Eyeliner is my most important makeup must-have. If I’m rushing out the door, it’s the only thing I put on because I look presentable. I’ve tried plenty of brands and five billion different eyeliners from L’Oréal, and this one is the best. It doesn’t flake, it stays in place (none of that midday melting), and it takes forever to get off — all positives in my book. My heart breaks whenever I can’t find it, so I stock up like a madwoman.

kat von d eyeliner

Kat Von D Vegan Beauty Tattoo Eyeliner

As a former goth girl who used to loooove layering on the liner, this vegan-friendly eyeliner from Kat Von D in Satin Black is like a gift sent from the gods. Not only does it glide on effortlessly, but the slender brush tip allows for laser precision, allowing you to create both fine and thick lines easily. It also lasts all day long, so there’s no need to reapply at work or on the go!

dry shampoo

Billie Floof Dry Shampoo

As a woman with short hair, I can’t simply throw my locks back into a messy bun when I don’t feel like styling. This awesome dry shampoo plus volumizer allows me to add instant va-va-voom to my pixie cut and is definitely one of the best beauty products out there. It’s also tough on grease and absorbs excess oil, leaving my hair feeling clean and sleek.

cerave moisturizer

CeraVe AM/PM Moisturizing Set

I have really sensitive skin due to an autoimmune disorder, so finding skin care products can feel like a lot of work and little reward. It took me forever to find any moisturizer that was light, not oily, didn’t contribute to my constant breakouts, and still left me feeling moisturized and confident. This Cerave AM/PM set really checked every box and didn’t irritate my skin. The night time moisturizer is smooth and so light that I almost don’t even feel like I’m putting anything on. And the morning cream even has SPF 30 sunscreen so you get extra protection without feeling extra greasy. I honestly don’t know where my face would be without these!

eyebrow epilator

Finishing Touch Flawless Brows Epilator

I have really thick brows, and while that’s all the rage right now, sometimes they’re a little too unwieldy and I just want to tidy them up a bit. I plucked my eyebrows for years and even tried at-home waxing kits, but since my skin is super sensitive, it felt like preparing for battle every time I wanted to do my eyebrows. This Finishing Touch Eyebrow Epilator started as a COVID alternative to getting them done professionally, but honestly, this one’s here to stay! It’s essentially a tiny little razor that helps you get the precise brow shape without any of the stress or pain of waxing or plucking. It’s super easy to use and helps me get pretty perfect brows every time!

Burt’s Bees Kissable Color Set

I don’t wear a ton of lip color (especially now because I wear a mask every time I leave the house), but sometimes I still enjoy a pop of color while hydrating my lips. I love the Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer Collection, and I love that they now have warm and cool options, so you can find the perfect set of shades for your skin tone. If you’re an avid lipstick wearer, these are perfect for layering to get a shimmery depth to your color, or if you’re like me and just want to keep things simple, apply it like a normal chapstick for an extra pop. And it’s an added bonus that all the ingredients are natural, so I’m not worried about drying my lips out!
