Ya there’s absolutely NO way I’m turning my oven or stove on at this point. Today was 98 degrees and my brain feels like it boiled in the few minutes I was outside. When it’s this hot, I have very little appetite, especially for hot food. I’m happy to eat a bowl of cereal or go out for frozen yogurt rather than cook and consume a hot meal. But at the same time, I know I need nutrients and I can’t count two margaritas as dinner. (I can and I will, but that’s not the point of today’s post).
Here are some tried and true smoothie recipes to help you get some protein and produce into your heat withered body so you don’t die. You can give them to your kids too so they don’t call child protective services on you for throwing a bag of animal crackers at them when they said “what’s for dinner, mom?” You’re welcome.
