Ham & Swiss Egg Casserole

  • 16 large eggs

  • 2 cups 2% milk

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg

  • 4 cups shredded Swiss cheese

  • 8 oz. sliced deli ham (chopped)

  • 4 croissants (torn into 1 + ½-inch pieces)

  • 1 Tbsp minced chives


  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. 

  2. Whisk the eggs, milk, salt, and nutmeg together. Sprinkle the cheese and the ham into a greased 13×9-inch baking dish or pan and pour in the egg mixture. Sprinkle the croissant pieces over the top. 

  3. Bake, uncovered, until the pastry is puffed and golden brown, 35-40 minutes. Sprinkle with chives and let it stand for 5-10 minutes before serving.
