It’s almost Valentine’s Day which is bizarre because it feels like it was the holidays five minutes ago… but here we are. I know everyone is so big on red and pink for Valentine’s day looks, which you think I would be ALL about as you guys know my love for red and pink. But I wanted to think a little outside the box this V-day and be a little less predictable. So I put together three easy to recreate looks for whatever your Valentine’s Day plans may be.
My first look is perfect for the transitional Spring weather we are having. I’ve paired this sassy and sweet Bardot white lace dress with my favorite over-the-knee boots from Amazon. To make it feel even more on brand for Valentine’s, I added this red heart shaped bag that we got in Italy a few years ago. I think the pop of color and cute shape of the bag helps the rest of the outfit not to look too edgy.
For my second look I’m rocking my new leather trousers which I am wearing the hell out of, honestly, I’m obsessed. (Still on mega sale at Saks btw!!) You can also find them here although it’s priced higher but with more available inventory. I paired these with the rhinestone studded angora sweater I snagged from an event I attended at Ba&Sh’s new store in South Coast Plaza. This sweater is so cute and special, plus it also comes in black. Available at Nordstrom Rack and Orchard Mile. The play of textures off each other in this pairing is to me, perfect- the leather balances out the softness of the angora.
Lastly, I have a straight from the office to date night look- a Chanel shift dress and bow blouse from Amazon the Drop. Again, I love mixing highs and lows because you can spend where you need to and save where you can and the entire look is elevated. The colors of this bow front blouse are so vibrant and the puff sleeve works perfectly with a sleeveless shift like this tweed one from Chanel. The look isn’t too prim and proper for date night because of the mini length of the skirt and the sheer quality of the blouse. It’s truly the best of both worlds.
Have fun celebrating Valentine’s Day or Galentine’s Day and I can’t wait to see what everyone wears!!
