Shower Aromatherapy Is The Best Way To Get Your Relaxation On

When I say I live in my shower, I mean it. The second any minor inconvenience comes up in my life, I walk into my shower, sit down, and scroll through TikTok for an hour. Healthy coping mechanism? Maybe not, but I just need you to know before we start just how much I love my shower. And the fact that our apartment complex doesn’t charge us extra for water.

Showers are great for getting clean (obviously), but do you know how much better you can make your shower experience? Today, I’m gonna walk you through some simple things to make your shower into your spa. I mean — it should be a sacred place anyway, why not take it up a notch?

Get Some Shower Bombs!

You’ve heard of bath bombs — I know you have. I have about ten that I can no longer use since I don’t have a bath anymore. But thank heavens — there are now shower bombs!

What are they, exactly? Well, they’re little tablets you just put down near your drain. When the water hits them, steam rises up and releases whatever scent your shower bomb is! These tablets also let you feel like you’re getting the bath experience without the actual bath. It’s a huge yes from us.

Update Your Shower Head!

There are so many things you can do to dress up your shower head to help create a spa-like experience! You can get a shower head that comes with technology that allows you to infuse essential oils right into your shower water.

Try lavender oil for relaxation and to relieve pain and inflammation, lemon oil for antiseptic, antifungal, and detoxifying properties, rose oil to soothe and relax the nervous system, and orange oil for some energizing vibes.

If you don’t want to get a whole new shower head, get some eucalyptus branches to hang in your shower! Eucalyptus branches provide a sense of tranquility and also can help relieve stuffy noses and sinus headaches. Usually, people just take a few branches of eucalyptus and tie them up at the stems with a rubber band, then drape them across their shower head. You could also go the extra mile and deck out your whole bathroom with bathroom-friendly plants. I personally love this because the steam from the showers hydrates the plants, and I am LAZY when it comes to watering my plants.

Get Some Top Tier Products!

Whenever I feel like I need to update my shower, I always look to the products I use first! I love using this brown sugar scrub when I can because it leaves my skin feeling fresh and smooth. I also look for hair masks and my favorite face masks too. Just so I can treat myself in the shower!

My shower is literally my oasis, and I can’t wait for you to try some of these products to make yours more special.
