Just take your entryway or alcove in that space by the garage or front door and make it into a little mudroom area. Be sure to include hooks for coats and a spot for all those muddy boots and shoes. Then, add in some baskets or cubbies for your kids’ backpacks, mail, and packages. It’s also a great place to keep your key (yes, I’m infamous for losing them otherwise). Don’t forget to make room for hanging your dog leash, with an ample supply of bags in your poop bag dispenser.
