It’s spring cleaning season, friends, and I’m proposing that this year, we ditch the notion that spring cleaning means you HAVE to get rid of a bunch of your stuff. Sure, maybe it’s time to let go of some of your clothes and knick knacks that have been gathering dust, but there’s no need to purge everything. Instead, I’m dipping my toes into the waters of home organization with the help of Lifewit.
Simply organizing your clutter can make your home feel a lot more spacious and clean! Lifewit sent us some of their home organization products and storage bags to try – here’s how I’m using them to declutter in this spring cleaning season.
Lifewit Large Capacity Clothes Storage Bag
Does anyone else keep the same clothes in their closet year-round? Just me? I never switch out my wardrobe to match the season but with these storage bags, I’m going to start! They’re also perfect for bedding (i.e. my bulky winter comforters that are about to be retired for the summer), all the precious onesies your baby’s grown out of, or your oldest child’s clothes that you’re waiting to turn into hand-me-downs for the next one. The reinforced seams promote durability and the fabric is breathable (bye-bye, mildew), plus, I LOVE the clear plastic window on the outside that lets me easily see what’s inside each storage bag.
Lifewit 25 PCS Drawer Organizer Set
Junk drawer, meet your match! Twenty-five pieces may not sound like a lot, but trust me, it is. I organized our kitchen junk drawer, a cluttered countertop, and some desk drawers, all with this drawer organizer set, and STILL have some pieces left over. The transparent plastic is visually unobtrusive in a way that lets all my stuff take center stage and almost makes me forget I’m using organizers at all. They’re also perfect for kids’ craft drawers, everything you have haphazardly strewn across your vanity, and even to store all those little sauce packets you have sitting in the fridge from the last time you ordered takeout.
Lifewit Drawer Underwear Organizer Set
Um, thank you, variety! The underwear organizers I had been using were barely organizers – they were just oblong cloth bins I haphazardly stacked my stuff in. Each of the organizers in this set is sectioned differently to store and separate socks, bras, underwear, undershirts – you name it! Please, for the love of everything, organize your underwear drawers, people. Not only is it more visually appealing, but proper storage will also help extend the life of your undergarments (even if only slightly).
So, this year, before you throw everything away during your intensive spring cleaning escapade, check out Lifewit and see how they can help you organize some of that clutter. Their home organization products can also help you organize your fridge, put some order to all that junk under your bed, and make sure your precious kiddos never lose a shoe again (well, maybe not never, but we can dream, right?)!
