Brand Spotlight : Chella Cosmetics (Review)

I recently discovered a new cosmetics brand that I’m really loving. Drum roll please… Chella Cosmetics! Whenever I come across something new that I’m obsessed with, I love to share it with you guys! I received a Chella highlighter pencil in one of my subscription services (I honestly don’t remember if it was Box of Style or Birchbox?) and set it aside without using it. I hadn’t heard of the brand and wasn’t sure how to use it, so I figured I would come back to it at some point. Then I saw Chella eyebrow gel and eyebrow cream listed as one of the hot items on a beauty site and figured I would give it a try. I ordered them and followed their “How to Brow in 3 Easy Steps” tutorial and WOW.

I’ve been pretty open with you guys about my low maintenance (no maintenance lol) brows. I don’t pluck, wax, or microblade or really do anything to my brows. They just grow on my face however the good Lord intended. But I know defined and structured brows are totally a thing right now, so I figured this is a great opportunity to give them a bit of love without having to start yet another maintenance routine. The system is super easy and adds basically no extra time to my makeup routine.

Step 1:

Fill in your brows with the eyebrow cream  or eyebrow pencil to either darken them, give them a specific shape or define them as you like. The eyebrow cream (pictured here) is the one I like the best because it comes with a little brush and a pot of cream and I feel like I can kind of brush it on over my brows to darken them a bit and I don’t need to be as precise. There are, of course, multiple shades to choose from.

Step 2:

To define the brows even more and to hold the look all day, use the brow defining gel. This is like a mini mascara wand with a clear gel. I was worried this would leave my brows feeling stiff and crusty like other eyebrow gels have but it doesn’t at all. I really like the definition and shape I am able to get with this and find I’ll use this even on it’s own when I’m going for a lighter makeup look.

Step 3:

Finish with the highlighter pencil just below the brow line to give your brow a little extra pop. You can use this highlighter pencil in other areas of your face too- I like it also in the inner corners of my eyes where I tend to get a little weird dark areas or shadows to give me a more awake, brighter look. This comes in multiple shades.

These are not the cheapest options out there, but their products are all vegan and cruelty free and I’ve been super happy with the formulations. If you give them a try, I’d love to know what you think below!
