Boozy Snow Cones And Ice Creams Are Guaranteed To Get You In The Spring Spirit

Dessert cocktails are one of my favorites, mostly because I prefer sweet drinks over a beer or hard liquor. And nothing says springtime to me more than snow cones and ice cream, so we thought, why not combine the two? Alcohol and springtime desserts! Here is our list of snow cone cocktail recipes and our favorite boozy ice creams! But before you start, make sure you have all the necessary supplies on hand…

  3. Serve piled in paper cups, shot glasses or small bowls.

Ice Cream

One of my favorite frozen desserts is ice cream, but boozy ice cream? Yes, please! These ice creams will be the perfect tasty treat to bring in summer!

Bourbon Butter Pecan Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pecans, roughly chopped

  • 2 Tablespoons butter

  • 1 Tablespoon light or dark brown sugar

  • Hearty pinch of salt

  • 2 cups heavy cream

  • 1 cup half and half

  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar or granulated sugar

  • 2 Tablespoons vanilla bean paste or pure vanilla extract

  • 3 Tablespoons bourbon

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Place chopped pecans on a baking sheet and toast them for 7 minutes, or until fragrant and golden.

  2. Just before the pecans are done toasting, melt butter in a small saucepan. Add 1 Tablespoon brown sugar and salt and whisk until completely combined and bubbly. Remove from heat.

  3. Add pecans to saucepan and stir/toss to coat. Pour pecans in a single layer onto a piece of parchment paper to cool.

  4. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, half and half, 3/4 cup sugar, vanilla extract and bourbon.

  5. Pour batter into frozen ice cream maker and prepare according to manufacturer’s directions (usually 20-25 minutes of churning). During the last 5 minutes, add in your prepared pecans.

  6. Store in a freezer-safe container and freeze for a couple of hours if you want it to be a soft-serve texture (or overnight, if you want to eat it after it’s hardened). Enjoy!

Irish Whiskey Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups cold heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup cold milk

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 packet gelatin 1/4 oz

  • 1/3 cup Irish whiskey

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Mix the cream and milk together with the sugar. Stir to completely dissolve the sugar.

  2. Sprinkle the gelatin over 1/4 cup of cold water. Let sit one minute. Then pour 1/4 cup of boiling water over that and stir to completely dissolve the gelatin.

  3. Pour the gelatin into the cream mixture and stir. Refrigerate the mix until cold, about 2 hours.

  4. Pour the mixture into your ice cream machine and process according to directions.

  5. When the ice cream is starting to look firm, pour in the whiskey and the vanilla. This will thin out the mixture again. Let the ice cream churn until it is thickened again.

  6. Spread the soft ice cream in a loaf pan and freeze until firm

From fruity flavors to chocolate toffee crunches, Haagen-Dazs has got you covered. My favorite part about their selection is that they use a wide variety of liquors for these — wine, bourbon, whiskey & rum. They also have one non-dairy option. This is a convenient brand because you can pick these up in most of your local grocery stores!
