The Best Haircuts For Every Face Shape That Will Look Stunning On You

Fall is here, and as every new season goes by I believe it’s an unspoken thing that with new seasons means new haircuts. But, the thing is that only certain haircuts look good with certain face shapes. So to help you figure out which hairstyles will go best with your face shape, I made a list of each hairstyle for each face shape along with how to figure out what kind of face shape you have to begin with. Scroll down if you’re ready to try something entirely new when it comes to your hair.
First things first, let’s identify your face shape. Above is a chart of all the face shapes so you can get an idea of what to expect. Now let’s talk about how to figure out your face type: To start off, take a photo of yourself facing the camera with your hair tied back. Next, trace around the outside of your face and see which shape it most clearly resembles. You also can try measuring your face, focusing on the widths of your brow, cheekbones and jawline, and the length of your face from forehead to chin. By now you should be able to see which shape best matches your face. For example, if your face is the same length and width, it’s most likely square or round. However, if your face becomes wider from the forehead to the jawline, it’s probably a triangle shape. Okay, now that you’ve identified which face shape best matches yours, let’s get into all the hairstyles that, according to experts, will look good on you.

For Rectangular Faces

Best haircuts for each face shape

For all my ladies who have a rectangular face shape, try to work to soften the appearance of your sharp jawline and forehead without elongating your face. Styles that may elongate your face include: overly long hairstyles, long straight hair, etc. If you really want to bring out your face you should try a blowout, waves, or curls if you do go long. As for updo’s try out a chignon, and for bangs try soft, rounded fringes and bangs as opposed to square styles or blunt cut options.

Short and shaggy layered hair looks particularly pleasing with this face shape. Other styles include: short and wavy hair, flowing layers, dramatic combover, unexpected color and blunt bangs.
